Central Electric Power Cooperative is currently seeking an experienced Vehicle Mechanic. Individuals with advanced training plus experience in the repair of both diesel- and gas-powered vehicles will be considered. Preference will be given to an individual with an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Automotive or Diesel Technology with certification and experience with hydraulic systems. Must either possess or be able to obtain a Missouri Inspectors Certification and a Class A CDL with an endorsement for manual transmission operations. The successful candidate will also be required to obtain a Crane Operators Certification. Central maintains a large fleet of both gas and diesel equipment including UTVs, mini-excavators, skid steers and other equipment that will require maintenance and repair. The vehicle fleet also includes large and small trailers, bucket trucks and road tractors. Working hours will be from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch period. This position pays $27.29 to $45.49 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
