City Clerk: The City of California is seeking candidates for the position of City Clerk. This is a highly responsible position; the City Clerk assists the Mayor and Board of Aldermen, oversees utility billing, supervises the office and clerical support functions, serves as the Records Custodian, attends all City meetings, and performs multiple other tasks in the City. The salary will be commensurate with the successful applicant’s experience and qualifications, and the benefit package includes health, dental, vision and life insurance, vacation time, sick hours and 401k Retirement Plan. The ideal candidate will have a combination of education and experience to direct and oversee the operations of City Hall. Experience in government finance is preferred but not required.
