The City of California is accepting applications for a full time Firefighter.

Applicants must meet the following qualifications: 18 years of age, High School diploma or GED equivalent, knowledge of fire suppression methods, first responder methods-practices, and techniques, and knowledge of operation and maintenance of emergency equipment. Knowledge of the City of California and familiarity with the City’s street layout, and businesses. The capacity to plan and evaluate emergency situations. The ability to do physical training and drills. Recommended to have or acquire Fire 1&2 /Hazmat awareness and Operations. Possess a valid driver’s license and maintain it, with an excellent driving record. Starting pay is $19.58/hour with benefits.
