LEAD MECHANIC This full time position is responsible for supervising and assisting other mechanics in maintaining and repairing City vehicles, equipment, and machinery while maintaining the shop in an orderly and safe manner. Position prioritizes and monitors the daily work schedule of the garage; assists in repairs on a wide variety of vehicles and equipment, with gas and diesel engines, monitors and records the ordering of parts and materials needed for each piece of equipment to be repaired, maintains an accurate inventory of all required garage shop supplies needed to operate the machinery, and assists in the development and administration of an annual budget for all garage activities. The successful candidate will be able to troubleshoot everything from light bulbs to engine overhauls. Requires high school diploma, diagnostic and repair experience, hydraulic and electrical systems experience, 5 years of relevant work experience as a mechanic and your own tools. Demonstrated computer skills, supervisory experience in a garage environment & Class B CDL license are a plus. Starting salary is commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits and a monthly tool allowance. Position open until filled. WASTEWATER TECHNICIAN This full time, entry level position assists with the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, and associated collection systems owned by the City of Fulton. Wastewater and computer experience preferred. "D" or higher wastewater certification would be a bonus. This position works day shift plus occasional weekend/overtime hours. High school diploma/GED and the ability to handle 50 lb. objects required. Position will require outdoor activity, willingness to obtain and maintain CDL, plus obtain a "D" wastewater certification within one year of hire. $12.50/hour (potentially more with experience and/or certification) with a generous raise after 6 months plus excellent benefit package. Position open until filled. UTILITY WORKER - WATER This full time position responds to water leaks, maintains & repairs water pipelines, taps, valves, meter services, fire hydrants and manholes. The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication and customer service skills, plus basic knowledge of the operation & maintenance of water distribution systems. High school diploma/GED and possession of a valid Missouri driver's license required. Must obtain Class B CDL within three months of hire. $12.50/hour, potentially going to $13.75/hour after successful completion of 6 month probation. Excellent benefits provided. Position open until filled. APPRENTICE POWER PLANT OPERATOR This full time position with the Power Plant works 8 hour shifts with various hours days, evenings and nights. Duties include assisting with monitoring & maintaining plant operations, providing customer service to the public, assisting in the repair & fabrication of special projects and assisting other departments as needed, including meter reading. Must be 21+ years old, have high school diploma/GED, valid driver's license with ability to obtain CDL within 3 months, a general knowledge of machinery and ability to routinely handle 75 lbs. Must not be afraid of heights or enclosed spaces. Salary: $12.50/hour, potentially going to $13.75 after successful completion of a six-month probationary period. Excellent benefits provided. Position open until filled. MAINTENANCE WORKER I - STREET This full time position will assist with culvert, concrete and street repair as well as maintenance. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience operating a variety of equipment, have the ability to obtain a Class B CDL within 3 months of hire, and handle 80 lb. objects. Required: high school diploma/GED and possess a valid Missouri driver's license. $12.00/hour, potentially going to $13.20/hour after successful completion of 6 month probation.
