Full-Time Custodian
The Cole County Sheriff’s Department is accepting applications for a full-time custodian. Primary responsibility of this position will be to keep the Cole County Sheriff’s Department facility in a clean and orderly condition. Some of the job duties included but not limited to are: Performs interior cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, stripping and waxing hard floors; vacuuming and cleaning carpet; cleaning break areas and associated appliances, drink machines, etc.; clearing tables; dusting surfaces; cleaning glass surfaces; cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and stocking supplies, removes trash from rooms within building; maintains building, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities. Salary is accompanied by an employee benefits package, which includes health and dental insurance, paid holidays and vacation. Retirement benefits include CERF, Lagers, and deferred compensation currently matching 50% on the dollar up to 6%. Applicants must meet the following criteria: be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to multi-task, be self-motivated, able to work well with others or alone, and pass a background check.
