Communications and Social Media Representative
Indian Electric Cooperative, Inc. a distribution cooperative based out of Cleveland, Oklahoma is seeking a full-time Communications and Social Media Representative. IEC employs around 80 employees in two offices; one in Cleveland, Oklahoma and the other in Fairfax, Oklahoma.

Candidates with a bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing or communications is preferred.

Candidate must have:
- strong practical knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and the strategies to engage members, employees and the public
- excellent writing skills for both print and social media
- demonstrated ability to support m multiple internal and external IEC influencers through superior interpersonal skills
- proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe InDesign
- proficiency with social media platform tools and reports
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Write, design, proof, and edit content for media channels including newsletters, annual reports, program and meeting materials, brochures, press releases etc.

Assists in the development and execution of communications strategies that ensure consistent, high impact messages improving our ability to communicate our message.

Develop approved content for all media channels.

Maintain cooperative website and intranet to ensure consistency with current message.

Responsible for photos\videos to promote IEC on all media.

Make recommendations to assist with the strategic planning and implementation of a range of communications activities utilizing print, online, and other media.

Stay up to date on new media trends and proactively explore future media channels.

Collect user data for all communications channels, prepare reports, evaluating results and outcomes of communications strategies to determine effectiveness.

Assist with the planning and execution of District and Annual Meetings

Perform television interviews when needed.

Assist with economic development activities and community involvement.
Normal office conditions. Occasional overtime required. Must be willing to attend seminars and workshops as requested.
Pay commensurate with experience.
