The Miller County Health Center is seeking professional candidates for a Health Educator/Public Information Specialist to design, conduct, and evaluate activities that help to improve the health and wellness of our residents and visitors. This position will serve Miller, Morgan, and Moniteau Counties with a strong relationship with local media, creative social media and website skills to promote services and public health campaigns. Other duties include community assessments, emergency preparedness, and continuous quality improvement. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 15 earned credit hours in one or a combination of the following: Health Care Administration, Public Health, Health Education, Public or Business Administration, the biological or social sciences, Education, Communications, Journalism, or other closely related field; and, At least one year of professional experience in public health, community or worksite health promotion, health education, health care administration, emergency management, public information, or other closely related field. Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) is preferred, but not required. Additional experience may compensate for education. This full time position will be compensated with a very robust set of benefits and an annual salary range between $42,000 and $49,000.
