The Jefferson City News Tribune, a daily newspaper in Missouri's Capital City, is looking for a city editor to lead a staff of seven reporters. The city editor, is responsible for the daily execution of the newspaper's coverage plan, as well as long-range planning for staff projects. Candidates for the position should have a bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field, strong writing skills and a passion for the role of journalism in a community. Candidates should have two to three years of experience in a newsroom, as well as being able to relocate to Jefferson City.
The position is a full-time position with benefits to include: 401k, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, and profit sharing, LTD, STD, vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays, flexible spending account and health savings account.
